Pick Your Niche Digital Book Review

This is a voluntary [free] review of the Pick Your Niche digital book. The Pick Your Niche ebook, written by the famous David Tang, is a digital guideline focusing on allowing you to pick the niche business directory best suited for your exact needs. David’s websites of such sort are massively popular and profitable, so it is interesting to see what guidelines he uses to come up with the niche topics. This is a fine reading for anyone who is into creating a niche business directory.

I already interviewed David Tang about his fortunes and success on Social Improve [RA Project back then] in March of this year. This book is one of David’s sharing of his tips and ideas to get other people started in similar fields.

Inside the Pick Your Niche Digital Book

There are 4 chapters in this 35 page 3.04mb book. They are as follows with a little bit info about what I learned from them:

  1. Intro. This is the most essential chapter of the book solely because of one thing: It explains to you why a niche business directory works and how you can use it in theory to make money in both the short and the long term. In my view, you can apply this principle to any website.
  2. The Basics. Explains what a niche business directory is so that you can start looking for a topic of your own. I am always skeptical of anyone trying to sell you something without actually showing you how it benefits you. I personally know at least 4 sites David owns that make him a ton of money every month [want to know what they are? Ask in the comments below :) ], so this chapter is essential in finding out what actually works and how it works.
  3. Marketing Strategy. This basically focuses on advertising your newly created niche business directory. Several useful tips there. Dave’s actual “The Man Who Sold The Web” is basically an excellent extension of this chapter. Go ahead and read the blog first; if you like it in any manner, you’ll want this book.
  4. Sales Strategy. This is what everyone looks for when they want to make money: how to make money. David explains the steps he always takes for all of his sites. There is also a sample of an actual advertiser rate card and sample sales letter that he has used himself. He shows a variety of ways that he has successfully used to target, contact, and sell to a fairly unsaturated clientele: offline businesses.

Your Online Business Guideline Helper

I like the connection of the book to the actual websites owned by David that you can visit to understand what he means. One thing you should realize though: while the book shows in different steps how you can start, you do have to finish your homework and perform the necessary research to achieve good result and to actually end up creating a website that can work immediately. The book does not take you from start to finish, as that is beyond the scope of the book: the book takes you from the ideas you may have to actually establishing the idea as a niche website. If you are looking for a complete tutorial on what to do from the beginning till the end, the actual companion website The Man Who Sold The Web may be what you are looking for. It is updated regularly and contains all the info you need to start building your niche product website this very moment.

To summarize how this book will help you, here are 4 main ways in my view that many people use to try and make money online from websites:

  1. Offer a service.
  2. Collect content.
  3. Create content.
  4. Make others create content for you.

This book focuses on the 1st and 2nd way above: offering a service that relies on collecting content that is already out there and presenting it to the reader. If you have any interest in the first and second ways of making money, then this book will help.

Full Communication with David Tang

There is another aspect of this book that I think is alone worth the very affordable price of the book: full contact and support from David. What does that mean? It means you can ask David any question, directly via email, and get answers back. With him making over a $1000 profit per month from each of his dozens of autopilot niche business websites, you will definitely want to know how he does it and how you can improve. With very famous sites like NuTang, one of the first social networks on the web, under his belt, David has a lot to share with you and can give you great advice on how to succeed at making good sustainable websites and at making money from them.

Special Offer for You & other Social Improve Readers

I’ve managed to secure a deal only for you and other RA Project [now Social Improve] readers: 60% off the standard price for Pick Your Niche. If you have any questions about the book and what you get with it, including full support and communication, you can contact David Tang directly too.
