    to know people behaviour :O

at first just to meet people around the world, then it become a source of people behaviour,
because i can see how people changed in their way of tweet, how they react to such tweet, how they speak out their thoughts, how they fight with others, how they become envy, how they copycating, how they become original, how they..oh well..pretty much everything. If they react differently IRL,its ok,at least i come to know how they act in Online world.

and for me that’s really a fun thing to do,i can learn how to stay positive around the negative thoughts, and how to get a positive energy or thoughts from others.

and how i get to know lots of online people and friends

    (^_^)

I do not understand Twitter unless I am a celebrity, that is.

Thanks for the comment Rmilana! :)

True, I agree with your observation that twitter allows a person to observe the behavior of others. Many people do indeed act differently online, and many people act differently on different online websites. In your view, is acting differently on Twitter than in real life tell us something about the person?

    Thanks! :)

Thanks also for the comment Daniel. :) Hmmm, do you mean that Twitter is only meant for celebrities?

  4. Daniel December 15, 2009 at 12:51 am #

Bes, from what I observe, Twitter is great if you are a celebrity because of all the followers you get overnight. Why would anyone follow me unless I was popular? Twitter reminds me of my school days.

  5. rmilana December 15, 2009 at 4:05 am #

Bes,imo they’re pretty much will act like in real life, though in real life we can not take back what we have said, but on twitter..there’s a delete button :P

Daniel,i think twitter is not about popularity, well i’m not popular but i gain followers, for me its how you connect with people through this online world.

…so will you follow me on twitter Daniel ? :P

I joined twitter to communicate with friends around the world. It also helps my community of musicians showcase our events and music. I really didn’t understand what all the fuss was about until recently, but now, I have to say I am hooked.

It is very important to understand why you are doing something, like communicating on Twitter. I think many often forget this.

I have a few different Twitter accounts, some for business and some personal. Here are some of the reasons I’m on Twitter in one form or another:

~ to promote my expertise. When you’re on Twitter, you can *show* people you know what you’re talking about – better to show than tell!
~ to remind them I’m there. One company I work for, people will typically need 2 months in any 12. We like to stay in their faces by providing interesting content and links and being part of their conversation. Then when they need us, they’re already thinking of us.
~ Twitter is the new Google Reader. I don’t care how many people say “it’s not an RSS reader”, some people use it like that. And if Twitter Tools skips a blog post, people complain they didn’t get notified.

Twitter makes a great reading list. Also handy for keeping up with friendly posters encountered in chat rooms. Twitter helps me keep up to date on topics relevant to my interests.

When I ran mmo fansites last year, Twitter was a great source for getting the latest news from the community team leaders. Now I see it as more of a place to throw up some backlinks. I never felt the need to announce things I was doing on some strange website :|

Twitter makes interacting with others fairly easy. I can get on the latest buzz on someone really fast. And I can have many more online friends as i like. Its pretty cool.

Nice post.. you will def waste a lot of time on twitter if you don’t have a clear goal, plan to why you are there.

Twitter is a great tool if used correctly.. so make a plan and stick to it,, and you will get the most out of twitter.

I’m onto Twitter to market products and services. I see this as a growing trend and could someday overwhelm the Twitter service. For example Dell computer has 100 people working full time tweeting specials for new computers. Is this what Twitter was meant to be?

  14. Josiah February 10, 2010 at 4:00 pm #

I do it for feedback. I follow people related to the niche i’m in and ask for feedback on what i’m doing. I’ve found that you get some brutally honest answers from social networking sites like twitter and facebook.

I will never go to wallmart and yell in the middle of an the baking aile: HI WORLD I found flower! — that’s how I see twitter, why do i have to tell the world about my life. unless if they are friends, family, etc.

  16. Phil February 16, 2010 at 11:45 pm #

I follow NASA on Twitter. Yeah…

  17. Aaron February 18, 2010 at 6:51 pm #

I am on twitter to gain popularity by increasing the number of followers and to send my message across them as soon as possible.

  18. Frances February 22, 2010 at 7:56 pm #

You know I am not totally sure why I am on it. When my website was built I decided I need to join all social networks I could, so I joined Twitter. I know have 1500 people following me and I have found some good information from some people I follow. I guess I haven’t figured the whole thing out, but I guess you need to be on or you’re behind the times.

  19. Josh February 23, 2010 at 2:19 pm #

I mainly use twitter to let others know when I make updates to certain content on some websites. In the past I found twitter great for keeping myself updated on gaming news by following the game developers.

  20. Hurtiglån February 24, 2010 at 3:31 am #

Yup it is true twitter allows you to share thought among people. it is modern way of commuting with people via internet. It is a social network site

  21. Mohammed Shahin February 25, 2010 at 9:43 am #

I’ve never actually found the time to get on Twitter. I already have my blog to update and keep in touch with people, so I’m struggling to find a justification. Perhaps if more of friends get on there I’ll join in.

  22. James Wilement March 11, 2010 at 2:16 am #

Hi it is truly said twitter is a social network site ant it can be used it for communicating with people.

  23. Jun B. Lumongsod March 26, 2010 at 10:10 am #

well most of the people especially if they have some business and agenda along with them they use this kind of site to boost their popularity or their press releases.. well like my boss for example… he uses twitter to make his websites known and thsu making more profit, links, and popularity…

  24. Patrik Bläckpatroner April 20, 2010 at 5:10 am #

My reason is simple. Because I love everything new and fun online. But it will certainly change over time .. :)

  25. Tony April 21, 2010 at 3:35 pm #

Me, I am in twitter because my friends are on twitter too. I follow what they do.

  26. Jeena May 1, 2010 at 3:37 pm #

I have to agree with Daniel. I am pretty new to twitter, but it seems like it is really hard to get followers. Not only that but the ones who have hordes of people following them are the super popular. Twitter is really for the celebs.

  27. Paul June 4, 2010 at 9:45 pm #

Excellent article, very useful and encouraging! I consider twitter as one tool to generate traffic for my blogs.

Completely agreed with what you said, it’s rare I find people with the same opinions as me!
